Unique Southeast Louisiana Wedding Venue: San Francisco Plantation

I had the pleasure of taking a walk-through tour today of a local historical site, the San Francisco Plantation in Garyville, Louisiana. It is a National Historic Landmark, and although it is a plantation, it has a unique design that sets it far apart from most of the plantations you might be familiar with.

What you’ll notice right away is the color scheme of the house. That peach and cerulean blue combination is not seen very often around here, and its “steamboat gothic” style of architecture definitely defies the normal antebellum style most often associated with southern plantations. I was unable to take a photo of the front of house, so I’ve used a Wikimedia photo, but I suggest visiting their website to see how stunning the house is.

I would love to officiate your wedding at the lovely San Francisco Plantation. Get in touch with them, and with me for a unique wedding ceremony of your dreams.
